How people use it

Made-up examples, built from what the app really does.

Someone keeping a diaryA page a night, lockedEach evening, Hina starts the daily journal template. It's titled with the date, asks for her mood and three good things, and is locked with her PIN before she puts the phone down.
Saving for somethingA trip, one deposit at a timeA couple saving for a Hunza trip set a goal of Rs 60,000 by July. Each deposit is logged, and Memlow says how much a week keeps them on track.
Private paperworkNotes from the doctorNotes from a doctor's visit go in the doctor visit template, locked, with a reminder for the next appointment and the medicine schedule beside it.

A diary that stays yours

Keep a diary in the private journal app or the online journal in your browser. Start from the daily journal, gratitude, weekly reflection or dream journal template, add a mood and the date, and give each entry a theme such as Morning pages or Ink letter.

Lock what's private

Lock a note with a PIN, or lock the whole app. On Android you can lock a folder too, unlock with your fingerprint, hide note text in notifications, and keep Memlow's content out of the recent-apps screen. A lock is a PIN gate for people using the same device, not encryption; your backups and anything you share are what's encrypted. If you forget the PIN, you can prove it's you with your fingerprint, backup password or account, and nothing is deleted.

Goals and habits for yourself

Track a habit such as a morning walk with a streak, a number such as books read or money saved, or a project's milestones. Memlow says whether you're ahead, on track or behind, and what you need each day to finish on time. See goals and habits.

Where your notes live

On Android, notes are saved on your phone; on the web, in your browser's storage. Memlow's servers never receive your personal notes. Back up to your own Google Drive, encrypted with a password only you know, or save a backup file. The Android app shows a few ads to stay free, and the ads never see your notes.

Privacy, in plain words

Your notes stay yours.

No adjectives, just how it works. Memlow's servers never receive your personal notes, so there is nothing of yours for us to read, sell or lose. What you share is stored there encrypted end to end, so only the people you share with can read it.

Read the privacy policy

Where notes live
On your device: the phone's storage, or your browser's own storage on the web.
Accounts
A Memlow account never holds your notes. It keeps only your name, email and how you sign in.
Backups
Optional, in your own Google Drive or a file, encrypted on your device with your password (AES-256-GCM) before they leave it.
Who can read them
Only you. Not Google, not us. That also means we can't recover a lost backup password.
Analytics and AI
The apps have no analytics. This website uses Google Analytics only if you accept it. No AI reads your notes, and the Android app's few ads never see them.
Questions

Something else? Look in the Help Center or write to [email protected].

Can anyone at Memlow read my diary?

No. Your notes stay on your device, and backups are encrypted with your own password before they leave it.

Is a locked note encrypted?

No. A lock is a PIN or fingerprint gate that stops others opening the note on your device. Backups and shared notes are what Memlow encrypts.

Is there AI that reads my notes?

No. There's no AI in Memlow at all.

Do I need an account?

Not to write. An account is optional; you need a free one for Google Drive backup on the web and for sharing.

Your notes stay yours.

Memlow is free and private, with no AI. Start writing in your browser, or get the Android app.
