Number goals, milestones and habits
Memlow is a goal tracker as well as a habit tracker. A goal in Memlow is a note with the goal at the top, so your plans, links and lists can sit right under it. When you make one, you pick its kind:
- A habit: something you do every day, on chosen weekdays, or a number of times a week or a month. You check in on each day you do it.
- A number to reach: 20 books, 100 km, Rs 50,000 saved, or from 90 kg down to 80. Log amounts that add up, or set the current value each time.
- Milestones: the steps of a bigger thing, such as a thesis, a wedding or a shop's opening, each with its own due date if you want one.
Choose New goal, pick the kind and fill in a short form. Anything more waits under More options.
Track a habit with a streak
Check in on the days you do it, and Memlow counts the streak. Each period you meet adds to your streak: a day for a daily habit, a week for "three times a week". The period you're in never breaks a streak while it's still running, so a slow Monday doesn't wipe out a good month. Memlow also keeps your best streak and how often you met the habit over the last 12 periods, and a 12-week calendar shows every check-in at a glance.
A habit can have a repeating reminder too, so your phone nudges you at the time and on the days you choose.
Ahead, on track or behind
Give a goal a due date and Memlow compares where you are with where you'd need to be by now. Each goal shows Ahead, On track, Behind, Done or Missed. A number goal also says what it takes to finish, such as "2 books a week to finish on 31 December", and its chart draws your progress against that pace.
This is arithmetic on your dates and numbers, done on your device. There's no AI guessing at your habits, and your goals leave the device only inside your encrypted backups or in what you share. The Goals list puts the ones that need you first: anything behind comes at the top.
Goals for a team or a family
Make a goal in a shared notebook or a team and it becomes a team goal. Everyone in it can log progress, and the history says who logged each entry. A family savings target, a class reading challenge or a month's sales for a small shop all work this way. Shared goals are encrypted end to end like everything else you share, and progress shows up for the others as it's logged. Shared notes explains notebooks and teams.
A goal on your home screen
On Android, two habit tracker widgets keep your goals in sight. Goals shows up to four goals with their rings, and One goal shows a single goal with a button to add one or check in, right from the home screen. A habit can also have a repeating reminder that rings on the days you pick.
Where to find Goals
On the web, Goals has its own place in the sidebar. On a phone, it's in Tasks: switch between Tasks and Goals at the top. Goals work offline, go into your encrypted backups and travel between your phone and computer like any other note. Export one as a PDF and you get its page with the ring and the chart.
Prefer a page to fill in? The habit tracker, goal planner and savings goal templates are plain notes to tick off, and the habit tracker also comes as a sheet.
