Planning template
Goal planner template
A goal is easier to work towards once you've written down why it matters and what done looks like. This goal setting template walks from the goal itself to your reasons, three first steps and a deadline, and ends with a clear sign that you've made it.

What’s inside
- 4 sections: Goal, Why it matters, Steps, How I'll know I've made it.
- Space to fill in: Deadline.
- Checklists to tick off (3 items are ready; add as many as you like). Ticked items can move to the bottom.
- Reminders on any item: each one shows up in Tasks, under Today or Upcoming.
- Its look: a lime note on plain paper, written in Outfit. Change any of it in the Style panel.
Tips for using it
- Keep the first step small enough to do this week; getting started matters more than a perfect plan.
- Put a reminder on the whole note for the deadline, and another halfway, to check progress.
- Reread 'Why it matters' whenever motivation dips; that's exactly what the section is for.

Questions
What makes a goal easier to follow through?
Being specific about the result, knowing why you want it, and breaking it into steps with a date. The last section, how you'll know you've made it, keeps it measurable.
Can I work on several goals at once?
Use one note per goal and keep them together in a Goals folder, or pin the one you're focused on right now.
