Recover deleted notes from Trash
A note you delete in Memlow isn't gone straight away: it waits in Trash for 30 days. Here's how to recover deleted notes on Android and on the web: open Trash, find the note and choose Restore. After 30 days, or once you empty Trash, the note can only come back from a backup.
Where deleted notes go
Deleting a note moves it to Trash, and Memlow offers Undo for a few seconds. In Trash, a note keeps its words, photos, recordings and folder. Its reminders stop ringing until you restore it.
On Android
Delete a note from its card's ⋯ menu, from the note's own ⋯ menu, or by selecting several and tapping Delete. Memlow says Moved to Trash.
If you delete a folder and choose Delete notes too, its notes go to Trash as well. An older note you empty completely goes to Trash when you leave it.
On the web
Choose Move to Trash in the card's ⋯ menu or the note's menu, or select several. Memlow says Note moved to Trash.
A note you empty completely goes to Trash when you close it, as on Android, with what it held before you cleared it and its version history. Memlow says Empty note moved to Trash and offers Undo. Only a new note you never typed in is dropped when you close it.

After 30 days in Trash, Memlow deletes a note by itself. A locked note stays locked in Trash. Notes from a shared notebook stay in Trash until the notebook's own 30 days are up, because everyone in it shares that Trash.
If your phone and computer keep the same notes through Google Drive, Trash follows along: a note you delete on one goes to Trash on the other too.
When Trash is too late
- If the note is still there but a change went wrong, open its menu on the web and choose
Version history. See Restore an earlier version of a note. The Android app keeps no versions. - If the note was deleted for good, restore a backup made before you deleted it, and choose
Merge. Merge adds the notes from the backup that aren't here, and where a note is in both, it keeps the newer copy.
On Android, open Settings, then Restore from a backup. On the web, open Settings, then Storage and Google Drive for a Drive backup, or Backup and data for a backup file. See Back up your notes to Google Drive.
