A simple invoice template for freelancers and small businesses: your invoice number, the date and due date, who it's for, then each item with its quantity and price. The amounts, subtotal, tax and total add up by themselves.

What's in this invoice template

  • An invoice number, today's date and a due date 14 days later, worked out for you.
  • A Bill to line for your client's name.
  • Item rows with description, quantity, price and amount.
  • A subtotal, tax at a rate you set (10% to start) and the total.

Tax, copies and a PDF to send

  1. Change the tax rate cell to your own rate, or to 0 if you don't charge tax.
  2. Make a copy of the note for each new invoice and bump the invoice number, so every one you've sent stays as it was.
  3. Export the note as a PDF to send it, or print it on A4 or Letter.

How to start

  1. Select Use this templateMemlow opens in your browser with a new sheet made from it, in Memlow Sheets. There is nothing to install.

Questions about the invoice template

Does the invoice add up the totals?

Yes. Each line's amount is quantity times price, and the subtotal, tax and total update as you type.

Can I send it as a PDF?

Yes. Export the note as a PDF from its menu, then send the file however you like.

Can I add my own logo?

There's no logo slot, but you can type your business name and details above the invoice lines.
